Winery Review: I purchases this sparkling wine at Target in Christiansburg. It was described as vibrant and bubbly. It was a dry light-to-medium body and medium-length finish with notes of pear, hazelnut, and apple. It also had a nutty and earthy notes with a citrus flavor as well.
Wine Folly: Wine folly described sparkling wines that are dry and zesty, are made with non-aromatic grapes like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. They also typically come from the coolest climate wine regions. To be dry, they have the least amount of sweetness added during dosage and are typically labeled as Brut.
My Wine Review: I had this sparkling wine at an engagement celebration for a friend. I tried it by itself and it was very dry and light to medium bodied. It had a yellowish color to it like a normal champagne has. It was paired with orange juice as we know that is a mimosa. I liked the pairing a lot because the orange juice adds a zesty and sweet flavor along with the dry sparkling wine. I also paired it with bagels, fruit, egg casserole, and a cheese danish. It paired well with breakfast foods and was a great wine for this type of event.
