Winery Review:Made with 100% Vidal Blanc grape, this wine is a crowd pleaser at Mediterranean Cellars. Cool down with the flavors of crisp red apple and grapes as well as a nice smooth, off-dry honey finish. The flavor of the wine lingers in your mouth after the first sip! Wonderful with fruit and cheese or any type of appetizers!
Wine Folly: Wine folly described vidal blancs as candied currant, pineapple, honeydew melon, lychee, mango and honeysuckle with tingly high acidity. It was described as fine ice wine. The history of vidal blanc also was stated in wine folly which was that it was created by Jean-Louis Vidal in France during the 1930’s, Vidal Blanc or just Vidal is best known for its incredibly rich and tingly ice wines. Canada’s Niagara Peninsula and Ontario are the most famous for Vidal production where ice winemaking happens every vintage.
My Wine Review: This wine was very crisp and clean. It was flavorful with crisp apple flavors along with sweetness but not too sweet. It paired really well with the cheese, crackers, and pepperoni we paired it with. It was the perfect summer wine because it was light bodied and very fresh. It was a beautiful day when we went to the winery and I bought another bottle because it was very refreshing and a great wine that could pair well with anything because it was so light and fresh tasting. I really enjoyed the flavors of this wine a lot.
